Who hasn't dreamed of touching a legend with their own hands? Nico and Rufio will take on the challenge, and we’re in for quite a ride!

hi, I'm Nico!

Hi, I'm Nico!
I live on the island of Carisi with my mother Giulia and Santo, her new partner.
Unfortunately, I lost my father when I was very young, but he lives on in the memories and stories my mother tells me. Santo was his friend, and since his passing, he has taken care of us; we can say he’s like an adoptive father to me.Then there are my friends: Annetta and Tommaso. They’re strong! I don’t remember a day of my life without them; we’re thick as thieves, and we always will be.
They say we get into a lot of trouble, but that’s not true! We just make life on the island less monotonous for everyone!
Not Annetta, though; she’s all about "rules and respect," although sometimes her diligence is what keeps us troublemakers from constantly ending up in punishment. I think she’s very intelligent for her age; tireless, she often helps the adults with chores, especially her mother at the fish market.
Tommaso is like a brother to me. He’s annoying with his tantrums, whining, and demands, but I care about him a lot, and I feel the need to protect him from all those situations in life that a good, naive guy like him doesn’t foresee.
He knows all my secrets, and I know that if I ever needed help, he’d be the first one to give it, no matter the cost. He’s a true friend, the best.
When I grow up, I want to be a captain like Santo; I want to have a big boat of my own. But I wouldn’t be a fisherman; I’d be an explorer, the greatest one ever known!
I’d travel the world, see the known lands and discover new ones; I’d always have my eyes on the horizon. Nothing could stop me from meeting other people and learning about their stories and traditions; just thinking about it excites me!
And when I come back from my travels, I’ll always bring back curious gifts to amaze my mom and Annetta, to make Tom’s eyes go wide in disbelief, and to make Santo proud.
That’s how it’s going to be; that’s how I’ll make it happen, I swear!
